What I learned today at the Dan Moody Museum: Football and hometown spirit have been alive and well in Taylor long before there were Ducks or Panthers!

Just a few days ago, I came across a Taylor Cotton Boll from 1922 in storage. I couldn’t resist flipping through its pages — each one telling stories of students from over a century ago.

It got me thinking about football in our hometown before the Taylor Ducks, the O.L. Price Panthers, and the days of UIL competition. Back when the game was played purely for school pride and the love of the sport.

And, since this is Homecoming Week for THS, I thought I'd share some of the oldest pictures that I could find. The photos and memories are priceless!
